Strawberry Fields Forever!

I'm going strawberry pickin' this week! And to prepare for the onslaught of berries, I'm trying to think outside the box with some things I can make. How about these?

Strawberry Shortcake Cookies
Strawberry Marshmallows
I'm so excited! The other recipes I've got up my sleeve are: Dried Strawberries, Strawberry Danish, Cake, Crisp, Limeade, Strawberry Pound Cake, French Toast, even Deep Fried Strawberries! Yippee!! See all the pics for the other recipes here.

  2. Catherine, the nice thing about cooking in a dorm is that if your creation is a winner you'll have tons of new BFFs. If it's a loser and you end up burning up the kitchen you'll meet tons of new BFFs out on the lawn during the fire drill. You'll all be staring up at the dorm wondering outloud who thought it would be a good idea to put the pop tart wrapper in the microwave again. I'm just sayin'... I don't have any personal experience or anything!! ;)

  3. You will have to let us know how everything goes. Those all sound like good recipes.

I recently made the Strawberry Swirl Pound Cake that was on the front of the Southern Living magazine this spring. It was quite tasty. Maybe you can add that to your list too. Here is the link: http://www.myrecipes.com/recipe/strawberry-swirl-pound-cake-50400000110798/.

  4. Wow, those look wonderful!!! I just planted my own strawberry patch as part of a crazy new gardening endeavor, so this will be perfect as a reference for when I actually get fruit on the plants (if I actually get fruit). I recently made a Strawberry Honey Preserve that was pretty good. Thanks for posting! Can't wait to read more ideas!
