My biggest craft project yet!

Our latest undertaking is finishing our third floor...  I know, June is such a great month to start on a super-mega-hot project like this, but we've been dreaming about it forever and it's becoming a reality with a lot of help from my talented dad and our friends.  Here we are hoisting up the lumber chain gang style!
My brother-in-law was on the ground, our friend James manned the roof, then my father-in-law and husband were stacking in the attic.  It was quite a sight!  4 guys, 20 minutes, done!
Here's the before picture.  We're planning painted wood paneling on the walls, smooth ceilings, built-ins and some surprises!  I'm so excited!  It will eventually be a creative room/playroom.
Here's today's progress: buy a nail gun, sweat, re-do yesterday's work :), scare off a bat, meet with the HVAC guy to hear about out our heating and cooling options, sweat, eat some wholesome frozen pizza, make extra sure that the bat never comes back and start on the ceiling along with a little more sweating!  Whew!

That sounds like a super neat project! We have a big unfinished attic space we hope to finish someday.

How exciting! I can't wait to see how it turns out! We have a 3rd floor in our new (actually very old) house. It looks very similar to yours right now. I can't wait until we can get up there and turn it into a functional space.
