This week I started homeschool with Owen. I thought it would be fun to have a more structured play time with him because I realized that there were some things I wanted to be sure that I taught him before he started Kindergarten.
I typed up 45 of my favorite preschool songs and laminated them.
There are some Sunday School favoritesSome songs that I remember from our little elementary school music class
I had the best time compiling this list and I can't wait to start teaching these to Owen. What fun! Would you like them too? Here's the link.
I'm excited to see your activities. I'm always looking for fun ideas for my little ones.
ReplyDeleteThanks! These are great! I would love to see what you do. I have a 1.5 year old and she loves to sing. I will certainly file away other ideas for "in a year or two"
ReplyDeletePls continue to share your creative activities with us! I am a working mom of 2 but defnitely spend a lot of time with my preschool princess:) we are now into starfall.com - Check it out its a great website resource also free:) Good Luck!
ReplyDeleteI'd like to see some ideas. My daughter is 2 1/2 and I've been compiling things so I can start a little schooling for her when the new school year starts (or maybe even sooner!). Fresh ideas are always needed :)
ReplyDeleteI would LOVE to see what you are doing with Owen! A couple blogs that I LOVE for homeschooling and "Tot School" type activities.

I dont' homeschool but I do enjoy keeping my children busy with cute activities such as these, thanks for sharing!
Thanks for these, Sarah! I tend to go blank when I try to think of songs other than the four or five I usually sing with the kids. Loving this variety! :)
ReplyDeleteWow! Thank you! My education degree & experience are for upper elementary/middle school. Since I've been gathering ideas to work with my toddler, I've been drawing a blank on songs! (Today, I even resorted to the Name Game Song. "Mommy Mommy Bo Bommy, Banana-Fana-Fo-Fommy...") I'll print out your PDF and start teaching Elizabeth some fun new songs.
ReplyDelete~Ginny
I love your little cards with songs! I have been wanting to do something like this of a while! I tried printing your but the font was really small. Is there another way for me to print it larger?
ReplyDeleteShaper, I'll email you the PDF. The font is pretty small (I think it's 8pt) to fit on the cards. I hope that helps! Thanks for reading!
ReplyDeleteIs there anyway you could share the PDF with me, too? Thank you so much for your time & resources!

Many medieval English verses associated with the birth of Jesus take the form of a lullaby, including "Lullay, my liking, my dere son, my sweting" and may be versions of contemporary lullabies. However, most of those used today date from the 17th century. For example, a well known lullaby such as "Rock-a-bye, baby on a tree top", cannot be found in records until the late-18th century when it was printed by John Newbery.
