Did you see that flower garland waaaay back there from my Pajama Party Lingerie Shower? I thought I'd show you how easy it is to make.
I cut out a bunch of different size flowers from three different colors of pink card stock paper using my Cricut machine, but you could just buy die-cuts that are already pre-cut from Michaels if you don't have a Cricut. (Be sure to use two-sided card stock since the flowers spin slowly when they are hanging.)
Then position the flowers in your sewing machine so you can sew down the center of the paper. I used contrasting yellow thread in the machine and in the bobbin so the stitching would stand out. Keep your sewing machine going for a few inches to leave a space in between each piece of paper. (I counted for three seconds to keep the spacing between each flower uniform.)
That's it! How easy is that!?
I love this, it looks great and is so simple to do. Now where do I get a circut!!
ReplyDeleteHi Sarah,
ReplyDeleteLovely flower garland.
I have one Qs about an earlier project that you did--Pinwheel.
In the pics that you posted, i saw a hand-puncher-like grommet tool.
I searched on Amazon and saw different kinds...from factory grade to bulky ones.
Am lookign for one like you showed, to use for craft projects.
Could you tell from where I can get one like that?
Best,
SJ
Karthi, So glad you liked the pinwheel tutorial! The grommet pliers I have are from my grandmother, so I have no idea where she got them, but check these out:http://www.joann.com/joann/catalog/productdetail.jsp?CATID=cat623844&PRODID=prd11242
