Gooey Gooey Goodness Guaranteed To Make Your Heart Smile!

Maybe you've heard of Monkey Bread before. Have you made it lately? Oh you're in for a treat! A very big treat! I made a batch this weekend and it didn't make it off of the kitchen counter. We all grabbed a fork and dug right in. I'm telling you, it's that good!
And you can use your little kitchen helpers to make it too!
Here's the recipe:
2 containers refrigerated biscuit dough (I used Pillsbury biscuits in a can)
2 cups brown sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 stick butter, melted

Mix brown sugar and cinnamon together in a small bowl. Cut the biscuits into 6 pieces each and roll in the pieces in the sugar mixture. Toss the coated pieces into a greased bunt pan with the remaining sugar mixture.
Then pour the melted butter over the top of the dough pieces and bake at 400 degrees for 5 minutes. Turn the oven temperature down to 350 degrees and bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until the dough is pretty well cooked through. Be careful not to overcook or the pieces will become hard.
Here's the gooey gooey goodness before we dove in.
Three adults, one preschooler, 15 minutes later... I'm telling you, this stuff is heavenly!

  6. Monkey bread is just plain cinnamon sugar crack! We make it every Christmas morning so we can get all hopped up on sugar while we open gifts. =)
